Forbes: Nubank is elected the best financial institution in Brazil for the third consecutive year

The rank was published by the North American magazine Forbes. Since 2019, Nu has also been present among the best financial institutions in the world.

Nubank was born with the mission of simplifying people’s financial lives. We offer easy-to-use products that can be entirely digitally controlled – directly via the app installed on user’s mobile phones.

In addition, we have an incredible customer service team that is eager to help our customers in whatever they may need, 24/7.

For those reasons, we are glad to share the news that we have been voted the best financial institution in Brazil for the third consecutive year, and we also rank among the best in the world. That acknowledgment was made by Forbes, a North American magazine that published the rank of World’s Best Banks 2021 on Tuesday, April 13.

The Forbes rank

The Forbes survey was conducted in partnership with the statistics company Statistica. Over 43 thousand people from 28 countries evaluated approximately 500 banks based on criteria such as trust, customer service, digital services, financial education and consultancy, terms and conditions, and overall satisfaction.

Nubank occupies the first position among the best-ranked Brazilian banks. Since Forbes published the rank in 2019, Nubank has continuously stood among the best in the world and heads the list of the best in the country.

Nubank: what Forbes may have seen

In 2020, we recorded an average of 36 thousand new customers per day – currently, we have over 35 million users. Present in 100% of Brazilian municipalities since 2019, we ended last year with R$ 29 million in bank deposits – a 2.6-fold increase from the previous year and the highest level we had ever reached.

In the past year – marked by the new coronavirus pandemic –, Nubank’s 100% digital concept began to impact an even more diverse population. Among the elderly, the percentage of new customers aged over 60 grew 20% in April of last year compared to April 2019.
